Adelaide Airport: connecting South Australia with the world through key international hubs
Adelaide Airport (ADL) serves over 20 domestic and international destinations. Flights are available to all major Australian cities, with Melbourne and Sydney the two most popular routes. A wide range of Asian, Pacific and Middle Eastern destinations are linked via non-stop flights to Adelaide, including hub airports like Dubai, Singapore, Denpasar, Hong Kong, Doha and Auckland. ADL welcomed just over 8 million passengers in 2016-2017, making it the fifth busiest Australian airport and the busiest by far in the state of South Australia. Flights to Paris with French national carrier Air France are possible, with a number of options in terms of connecting flights, including Guangzhou and Sydney/Singapore. Air France flies to over 200 destinations right across Europe, Africa and the Americas.

Adelaide’s Botanic Gardens not only boast the southern hemisphere’s largest single span glasshouse (27 metres high), but also the oldest, which was brought from Germany to SA in 1875.
Adelaide Airport is about 6km west of the city centre. Access is via Sir Richard Williams Avenue, just off the A6 (Sir Donald Bradman Drive). Parking can be booked online, at terminal parking, right in front of the terminal building, or in the long-term car park, linked to the terminal by a free shuttle bus and a path. There are also specific pick-up and drop-off zones.
Adelaide Metro’s J1X JetExpress and various JetBus services link Adelaide city centre and suburbs to ADL. The J1X runs from Pultney St, along Currie St and Sir Donald Bradman Drive to the airport in around 20 to 30 minutes, Monday to Friday. J1 and J2 buses also operate on weekends and take a slightly different route (along Henley Beach Road and South Road). The J1 bus runs between Elizabeth Exchange and Glenelg. J7 and J8 buses (West Lakes Centre Interchange to Marion Centre Interchange) operate the airport route Monday to Friday. Taxis and ride-sharing services are additional transport options.
